It treats blossom-end rot, tip burn and edge burn in lettuce and cabbage leaves, hollow heart in potatoes, sugar beet, lettuce, cabbage, cauliflower, and cucumber, cucumber fruit deformity, brown discoloration of cauliflower curds, physiological brown discoloration of potato tubers, and stunting of the growing tip.

It contains nitrogen, which is important for increasing vegetative growth and is essential in forming living cells, protein, chlorophyll, nucleic acids, as well as certain hormones.

It contains calcium, which is important for forming cell walls, growing tips, cell division, and enzyme activation.
